Standard Terms & Conditions

PAYMENT TERMS

• PAYMENT IS DUE UPON COMPLETION OF WORK AND INVOICES ARE DUE UPON RECEIPT UNLESS STATED OTHERWISE.

• Commercial customers can apply for an account with terms, by completing a commercial account set-up form.

• A late payment surcharge of 2% monthly (26.82% per annum) will be applied to all overdue invoices.

• Should the account be sent to collections the customer may be held responsible for all fees and charges related to collecting the past due amount.

• ALL EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS SUPPLIED REMAIN THE PROPERTY OF GREY-BRUCE PLUMBING LTD. UNTIL PAYMENT IS RECEIVED IN FULL.

WARRANTIES

• LABOUR: Grey-Bruce Plumbing Ltd. warranties labour & workmanship for one year

• EQUIPMENT & MATERIALS: Manufacturer’s warranty periods apply for all materials and equipment supplied and installed by Grey-Bruce Plumbing Ltd. The customer would be responsible for labour and any additional expenses for warranty replacements if the labour warranty period has passed.

• There is no warranty for work completed using customer supplied equipment and material.

• If any equipment or materials are replaced under warranty, the replacement equipment still falls within the original warranty period (the warranty period does not restart).

• These warranties shall not cover any defect or damage which may be caused or partly caused by or arise through:

  • Failure on the part of the Client to properly maintain any Goods; or

  • Failure on the part of the Client to follow any instructions or guidelines provided by Grey-Bruce Plumbing Ltd.; or

  • Any use of any Goods otherwise than for any application specified on a quote, work order or invoice; or

  • The continued use of any Goods after any defect becomes apparent or would have become apparent to a reasonably prudent operator or user; or

  • Fair wear and tear, any accident or act of God

• These warranties shall cease and Grey-Bruce Plumbing Ltd. shall thereafter in no circumstances be liable under the terms of the warranty if the workmanship is repaired, altered or overhauled without the Contractor’s consent.

• Warranties are not transferable.

• THERE IS NO WARRANTY PROVIDED FOR DRAIN CLEARING/CLEANING WORK.

ESTIMATES

• Estimates are only valid for 10 days, after 10 days a new estimate would have to be completed.

• A 50% deposit is required upon acceptance of an estimate in order to proceed. The balance is due upon completion of work.

• UNKNOWN CONDITIONS: We make every effort to ensure that we are being as comprehensive with our estimates as possible however once walls, floors, etc. are opened there may be changes that are required. We will communicate those changes as the project progresses.
