Over Due Invoices:  Over due invoices will have a service charge added at the rate of 2% per month on any balance that remains outstanding.

When you receive your invoice there may be several different charges depending on what kind of service we provide for you. Here are some of the common invoice items explained

Standard Service Call Fee

For each service call there is an initial service call fee.  This fee includes the first 1/2 an hour of on-site time.  An hourly rate applies after that fee, and it is billed in 1/2 hour increments.  Materials are not included in the hourly rate, they are billed if/when used.

Labour Charges

Our Plumbers/Technicians, Apprentices and helpers are billed at competitive hourly rates. This includes the time to get to your site and the time to get materials should something not stocked be required. Our Technicians are fully licensed, highly skilled professionals that have, at a minimum, completed a 9,000 hour apprenticeship through the Ministry of Colleges and Trades.   Apprentices are registered with the Skilled Trades Ontario and are in the process of completing their 9,000 apprenticeship.  They are knowledgeable skilled workers that work under the direction of a Journeyperson Plumber.

All of our employees are fully insured, covered by WSIB Insurance and have clear criminal background checks.

We want to be there for our customers and we offer 24 hour emergency service.  Emergency labour rates are applied outside of the hours of Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm.

Evenings/Overnight and weekends the labour rate is 1.5 times the regular rate.

Stat Holidays the labour rate is 2 times the regular rate.

Emergency after-hours calls are subject to a 2 hour minimum charge.

When we come for emergency service, things to keep in mind:

  • Our vans are well stocked with common plumbing parts, however, since there are so many brand specific parts on the market we may not always have the part we need on hand. And because the job is after hours, the repair part may not be available until the nearest business day.

  • In some cases our technicians will do a temporary fix for a customer. Something to get them through the night or weekend. There may be a few reasons for this

    • When special parts are not available till the following day/weekday

    • When the repair work is quite involved and will require more than one technician

    • When the customer would like to minimize the emergency time (double rate) on site and have us come back during regular hours.

We ask customers to please be 100% sure when scheduling an emergency call. Due to high cost of sending out our technicians after hours we must charge the minimum charge once our staff is dispatched. Overall, our goal is to diagnose and repair the issue in the most time and cost effective way.

Equipment Charges

In our vans we carry a variety of special tools & equipment that is needed on certain types of jobs. We invest heavily in the tools of our trade, including our service vans.  We believe in using top-quality equipment and vehicles so that we can provide the best service possible.  As these tools can be costly to purchase and maintain we do charge to use them if they are used. Listed here are some of the tools / equipment we charge for if used.

We believe in being fully transparent with our billing, if there is something that you need explained that is not mentioned here, please call our office and we would be happy to help you.

Small Drain Machine / Rodding Machine

Large Drain Machine / Rodding Machine

These machines are very expensive to purchase and maintain, they incur heavy wear each time they are used which is why there is a charge each time they are used.  This charge is based on the maintenance/replacement cost of the equipment over the expected life.

Hydro-Jet / Jetting Machine

Our jetting machine is used to clean the inside of drains. Over time debris can build up on the walls of the pipe. Our jetting machine is used to pressure wash the sides of the drain cleaning any debris that has become caked on and washing it down and out of the system. If the walls of drains build up it can eventually lead to a very serious blockage.

Drain Camera

Our camera is one of the most expensive pieces of equipment we have . It is a very useful tool when investigating drainage issues. It can show us the condition inside your drains, how deep the drain is in the ground, and is mainly used to locate blockages or issues that are found while investigating.  To rent a camera from a rental company the cost is around $350.00. These machines are very expensive to purchase and maintain, and they incur heavy wear each time they are used which is why there is a charge when it is used.

Disposal Fee

On jobs where there is significant old materials to be discarded, such as toilets, sinks, etc. a Disposal fee will be charged.
